Have You Ever Thought, ‘Damn, YouTube Is Too Free?’ — Well, Fear Not Because It’s About To Start A Subscription Service Of Its Own!

YouTube is thirsty.

With streaming sites like Netflix, HBO Now, Spotify, and TIDAL all offering paid services, it seems as though the original name in online videos wants in on the action.

That’s because YouTube announced on Thursday that it is about to launch a subscription-based option for users to really get the best experience available.

In a letter sent to only a few YouTubers, the Google company addressed its recent success with its kids-friendly version, saying:

“We’re excited to build on (YouTube Kids’) momentum by taking another big step in favor of choice: Offering fans an ads-free version of YouTube for a monthly fee. By creating a new offering, we’ll generate a new source of revenue that will supplement your fast growing advertising revenue.”

This sounds like it doesn’t really benefit anyone watching videos who’s already accustomed to sitting through five seconds of nonsense to watch longer, more entertaining spans of nonsense.

Still, it’s nice to know we live in a world where we can throw $10 a month down so many different drains!

Would U pay real money to watch this? Take a look:
