It’s another scandal, y’all!!
It looks like Mama June isn’t the only member of the Honey Boo Boo clan who’s causing some serious controversy.
According to RadarOnline, the pageant mom’s daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, posted a Facebook message that used both the N-word and R-word.
The 15-year-old took to social media in order to celebrate her best friend for “Man Candy Monday.” Pumpkin, we can think of better ways of celebrating your friendship!
She originally stated:
“My Bestfriend the person I spend half of the day on the phone with having stupid conversations and being retarded. I’ve never laughed so hard at someone the way I do you. Josh your a good guy and I’m glad to call you my Bestfriend and glad to know you’ll always be by my side. Love you n**ga.”
The TLC star has since edited her post (below). Wonder if Mama June stepped in?
Very inneresting! We’re not sure what’s more upsetting — that the star has decided to use this controversial language, or that her friends and fans seemed unfazed by the post?
Reportedly, a spokesperson for the family stated:
“She meant it as a sign of affection to her friend. It was not intended in anyway to be derogatory.”
We’re not sure that makes it any better! But we do have sympathy for the young star — her family has been one hot mess express as of late! All we can do is hope that Pumpkin will learn this type language is NOT ok!
SOUND OFF in the comments (below) if you think Pumpkin knew what she was doing?!
