If you didn’t already respect Scarlett Johansson, you will now!!

Now, the 30-year-old is waging war on hunger and asking for your help.

In a statement for the charity, she shared:

“My family grew up relying on public assistance to help provide meals for our family. Child hunger in America is a real and often overlooked problem, but one that together, we can fix.”

Tissues, anyone?

In a recent PSA, she stated:

“The are 16 million children struggling with hunger in America. That’s one in five daughters, sons, neighbors and classmates who don’t know where their next meal is coming from, yet billions of pounds of good food go to waste every year.”

It’s time we do something about it.”

And we agree!

We can only imagine her drive to make a difference was partly inspired by the birth of her daughter, Rose, last September.

With her summer blockbuster The Avengers: Age of Ultron set to release May 1, it seems the new mom is putting her spotlight to good use.

We’re proud of you, ScarJo!!
