This is happening!!!
Netflix has officially ordered thirteen episodes of a new animated Dr. Seuss series from one of his most classic books!
Green Eggs and Ham!!!
Ellen DeGeneres is producing the picked up series, along with Warner Bros. TV Group, which will be targeted towards children. It’s a risky move for Netflix since most of their most successful original shows have been aimed for adults, but if anyone can change that, Ellen can!!!
Here’s what Cindy Holland, Netflix’s VP of original content, said about the deal:
“We think this will be a hit Green Eggs and Ham is a perfect fit for our growing slate of amazing stories available exclusively in all Netflix territories. You can stream it on a phone. You can stream it on your own. You can stream it on TV. You can stream it globally.”
We can’t wait to see what this adaptation from the infamous 1960 children’s book will have in store for the world!
Although we’re just excited that Ellen is a part of this! She wrote online:
“I’m producing a new show with Dr. Seuss for Netflix! You can watch it here or there. You can watch it anywhere.”
So sweet! The date of this show’s release is still unavailable, but we’re hoping they hurry up with it, so we can watch it on a plane, on a train, or heck – even watch it in the rain, ha!
