Don’t have a cow man!

It looks like The Simpsons family will continue to invade our home for a couple more years! Fox has renewed the historic animated series, The Simpsons— which is already the longest-running scripted show in TV history — for both a 27th and 28th season. This will extend The Simpsons historic streak to a total of 625 episodes.

In response to the recent renewal, Fox had Homer release a statement:

“I’ve outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and ├óΓé¼╦£McDreamy,’ because I have something they don’t: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction.”

Times are a-changing as over the last year we’ve gotten announcements of Letterman and Jon Stewart leaving their respected shows, as well as a shocking twist in Grey’s Anatomy when Patrick Dempsey‘s McDreamy was suddenly killed off. But rest assured, The Simpsons will remain our constant in this changing TV landscape!

Ay caramba! We can’t believe we get two more years! What do you think? Are you excited they’re sticking around for another couple years?!

Either way, you can catch their upcoming episode on Sunday, May 10 at 8 p.m. on Fox!
