While it may not have gotten renewed again, it will live on in our Harts.
But, as far as TV time goes, that’s a wrap for Hart of Dixie.
The CW‘s medical dramedy aired its last episodes of season four back in March, but now it’s confirmed those were the last episodes period.
It’s not like we’re really surprised. The southern-set show had run its course. And besides, during the finale — two months ago — creator Leila Gerstein took to Twitter to say that she “would have gone 17 years.” Talk about a spoiler alert.
Led by Rachel Bilson, the drama was one of the network’s best performers on Hulu, but that just wasn’t enough to give it another chance.
It doesn’t seem like all of the execs are taking it too hard, though. EPs Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have moved on to a new frontier, an upcoming drama on ABC called Astronaut Wives Club. Excellent.
As for Dixie, it’s not see you later. It’s goodbye.
