Letterman has been open about his love for the Foo Fighters in the past, first having them on his show back in 2000, and the love between the comedian and band is definitely mutual!

About Letterman’s career, Grohl gushed last week:

“There’s something rock ├óΓé¼╦£n’ roll about Letterman. He’s just America’s number one smart-ass. He’s shaped generations of people. Everybody at some point has wanted to be like David Letterman.”

Hear, hear!

The love-fest isn’t just between the Daves, either. After 31 years of funny, we are going to miss Letterman on late nights, y’all!
