You’ve never seen Taylor Swift like this before — and if you did, you were probably on strong hallucinogenics!
The Plasmatic Research Laboratory is a new animation studio at the University of Newcastle in Australia — and they made the coolest animation project ever!
49 students and animators were given 52 frames each of Swifty’s Shake It Off music video and were assigned to animate it however they wanted to!
They produced 2,767 total frames using a technique called rotoscoping. This is where animators trace over footage frame by frame before letting their own creativity take action with different colors and visuals!
Some students took a more realistic approach, while other frames looked like a straight up acid trip — but the video (below) definitely showcases the talent and imagination of these students!
And since the Bad Blood video is released, we think they already found their next class project!
