A$AP Rocky received some backlash this week for a misogynistic track on his upcoming album At.Long.Last.A$AP!
So, the rapper wasted no time clearing the air during a radio interview Wednesday night speaking with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1!
When asked about the diss directed at the songstress, the 26-year-old had this to say:
“For me, she got me into a lot of trouble when I was dealing with her. I’m not saying she is a terrible person, I’m just saying when I was in a relationship and I did things with her that I wasn’t supposed to do, she had a big mouth.”
Sounds like the Poison singer got him in a lot of trouble! Though the Dope star admits that it wasn’t a tasteful verse, he explains the damage is already done:
“Honestly, the song is really old, I felt it was such a good song I just didn’t take it off. It would have been really tasteful for me to mute that part, but it is what it is and it’s out now…To all the Rita Ora fans and to Rita Ora herself, keep going, you’re still beautiful baby girl, but next time – keep your mouth shut and I’ll do the same.”
Well it certainly sounds like the two artists have some inneresting history!
While we’re not sure exactly went down, hopefully they can put it behind them and focus on creating great music! Check out a clip of the interview (below!)
