So inspiring!

The critically acclaimed show Transparent took home multiple awards at the Golden Globes in February. Jeffrey Tambor won Best Actor for his role of Mort/Maura Pfefferman, a father of three who tells his family that he is transitioning into a woman.

But the groundbreaking dramedy has reportedly also helped Caitlyn Jenner with her transition — as well as the rest of the Kardashian family!

On Sunday at the Critics Choice Television Awards, Tambor explained that Jenner actually borrowed a line from the show in her 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer in April.

In her last interview as Bruce Jenner, Caitlyn said a direct line of Maura’s from the show’s second episode:

“All my life, my whole life, I’ve been dressing up like a man.”

Amy Landecker, who play’s Maura’s daughter Sarah on Transparent, explained that the Amazon series also helped the rest of the family of media titans. She said:

“We were told that the Kardashians watched the show with Bruce and I think we helped, which is kind of exciting.”

Jeffrey Tambor said he was honored to have helped in any way:

“I think that’s remarkable. I feel very blessed and very moved to hear that. I’m glad we could be part of that… Bruce Jenner really hit it out of the park in terms of authenticity and beauty and love. I thought just the way that whole thing is breaking is gorgeous. I loved the last line, ‘This is my last interview as a man.'”

We’re so glad that this show impacted Caitlyn and her family, and we hope it helps families everywhere!
