As we reported last month, Joe Biden‘s son — Beau Biden — tragically passed away from brain cancer at the young age of 46.
One would think others would respect the Vice President’s period of mourning.
Apparently, Ted Cruz did NOT get the memo.
On Wednesday at a GOP dinner in Howell, Michigan, the Republican Candidate made a poorly-timed dig at the Democratic politician.
“Vice President Joe Biden. You know the nice thing? You don’t need a punch line├óΓé¼┬ª I promise you it works├óΓé¼┬ª The next party you’re at, just walk up to someone and say, ‘Vice President Joe Biden’ and just close your mouth. They will crack up laughing.”‘
Afterwards, the 44-year-old was called out by a reporter for being insensitive, but the Calgary native walked away.
The video was made public on Twitter:
Later that night, the Senator issued the following apology on Facebook:
Beau will be laid to rest later this week.
We just hope Ted has learned from his mistake.
