It seems like just yesterday that Victoria Beckham was known as Posh Spice!!

On Wednesday, Victoria opened up about her days in the mega popular pop group almost 20 years after the band first got together.

Woah, has it really been 20 years?! We feel old now!!

The fashionista dished on her life changing audition:

“I went to audition — there were thousands of girls that showed up for the audition and there were queues around the dance studio in London,” Beckham explained. “Everybody stood up one by one and were being taped and everybody sang songs… I think I sang Mein Herr from Cabaret, which was really, really not the right thing to do but it got me in the group.”

Wow! We’re glad Vic made the group despite the steep competition! We really can’t imagine the band without the fashionable Posh!

Speaking of Posh…how did the ladies end up with their iconic monikers?

Beckham explained:

“Nobody put those images on us. We all just looked that way. I always dressed that way. Mel B was always the scary one wearing the leopard print and Emma was always the baby one wearing the pigtails and there’s those bloody awful shoes they made us –those big platform shoes.”

Sounds like the ladies always kept it real from the very beginning which explains why they were so adored!

Victoria added:

“I think people liked the fact that we were real. We weren’t choreographed… normal girls could relate to us. And our method was it doesn’t matter if you’re a little bit different. That’s where girl power came from. Just be who you are, be proud of who you are. I really value friendships between other girls.”

We agree! Girl power all the day err’ day!

While it’s sad to think that the Spice Girls are no more, we adore the legacy they left behind. Keep spicin’ up your life, Vic!
