Vindicated! Bryan Singer & Three Other Hollywood Execs Receive Formal Apologies From Lawyers In Child Sexual Abuse Lawsuit!

no title

The director of X-Men, Bryan Singer, and three other Hollywood execs can now breathe a HUGE sigh of relief!

Singer, TV executives Garth Ancier and David Neuman, and theater producer Gary Wayne Goddard were all accused of sexual abuse in an April 2014 lawsuit brought by a man named Michael Egan.

Egan alleged in the lawsuit that back in 1999, Singer and the other three had abused him in Hawaii and California, when he was a child.

The lawsuits brought terrible publicity to Singer and the rest, of course, and now it appears they were all made up!

The attorneys who represented Egan have publicly apologized for the lawsuits brought against the four men, acknowledging that they believe these allegations to be untrue.

In a letter sent to the men, Jeffrey Herman, an attorney in Boca Raton, Florida who represented Egan apologized, writing:

“Based on what I know now, I believe that I participated in making what I now know to be untrue and proveably false allegations against you. I deeply regret the pain, suffering and damage the lawsuits and publicity have caused you, and your family, friends and colleagues.”

It gets worse for Egan, though, as the attorneys allegedly paid out a sum in the millions to the men as a penance for Egan’s misdeeds!

Egan’s lawsuits, of course, had been dismissed; the first two against Neuman and Ancier were removed by courts in June 2014, with Egan dropping the other two shortly thereafter.

Ancier spoke publicly about the resolution, saying:

“I said on day one this was all absolutely false and I’m certainly pleased that’s now been admitted by the lawyers responsible for transforming absurd fabrications into a real-life nightmare for me.”

We can’t even imagine what it must be like to be falsely accused child sexual abuse and have it bring down your career. At least the case has resolved itself publicly, though these four mens’ lives may never be the same.
