One thing we really love about Heather McDonald is that she ALWAYS tells it like it is!!

Luckily for us, we were able to snag an EXCLUSIVE! interview with the former Chelsea Lately star at Lea Black‘s Red Carpets & White Lies book party in West Hollywood last Thursday.

Heather, who is now enjoying life as a stand-up comedian and mommy, dished on a bunch of topics … including whether the embattled Fashion Police will ever come back AND if our culture is now a little too PC, especially where it concerns Caitlyn Jenner.

On the future of Fashion Police, the former E! talent said:

“I don’t think Fashion Police is coming back. No one can ever be honest about anybody’s parts anymore. How are you going to do Fashion Police? I felt like we really missed Joan A LOT this week. I saw the news feed and it’s like ‘Doesn’t she look so fabulous in her flats and frock!?’ No, she doesn’t! The pendulum has gone a little too far. Now the new word you can’t say is ‘slut.’ Every week there’s a new word. If you’re a slut you can call yourself a slut. But if someone goes, ‘That’s a little slutty’, it’s a big deal. You can’t say slut anymore … there’s even drought shaming now!”

Giuliana Rancic did confirm Fashion Police would be returning this fall, but we get Heather’s gist. The show will NEVER be same without the iconic and candid Joan Rivers!! It just wasn’t the same without Rivers’ hard-hitting critiques!

On Caitlyn and being PC:

“I think she’s great. I think everyone is great. I wish the family well. If you want to hear what I really think you should come to my live stand-up. I don’t believe anymore that you can speak as freely about things. It will get you in trouble. I don’t want to lose jobs over anything … stand up comedy is the one place left where you can’t be attacked by hundreds of people. I’ve seen it happen to other people, it’s getting out of hand.”

While it’s obvious that Heather is supportive of CJ, we understand how it would be frustrating as a comedian in this situation. Comedy is all about freedom of speech as long as it doesn’t veer towards hate!

So, what do YOU think about the comedienne’s comments?
