A Truck Full Of Sharks Crashes On Highway — But SeaWorld Saves The Day!

No, this isn’t the plot for Sharknado 4 — but it’s just as scary!

On Wednesday, a 18-wheeler transporting several sharks crashed the I-95 in Oak Hill, Florida!

The sandbar sharks were en route to an aquarium in New York in individual tanks when a tire was separated from the vehicle, causing it to travel into the median and stop at a tree line.

Though one of the sandbar sharks died in the crash, SeaWorld was called to the scene to transfer the three remaining sharks — who will be brought to the company’s care facility in Orlando.

Jim Kinsler, assistant curator said that the sharks are in good condition, detailing:

“We’re just grateful no one got injured and we’re happy to help. Sharks require good water conditions and appropriate space and care during travel.”

While we’re sad not all the sharks survived the crash, we’re glad that SeaWorld stepped in so promptly to aid the situation!
