It’s like Toy Story 2 IRL!
Well, not really, but it’s pretty darn cute! A little boy named Owen was at the Tampa International Airport with his family to take a trip to Texas.
But once he got to The Lone Star State, he quickly realized he had left behind a precious friend, his stuffed tiger named Hobbes.
The six-year-old’s mom, Amanda Lake, said this was a big deal for her son, since the toy is irreplaceable:
“Hobbes is one of a kind. He was made by hand by his aunt who lives in Houston.”
She contacted the airport to track down Owen’s plush playmate, who quickly found the furry friend near the children’s play area.
But the staff didn’t just leave Hobbes in a lost and found bin until the child came to collect him. Instead, operations manager Tony D’Aiuto took the tiger on his own personal tour of the airport while they snapped sweet pics (above) of the entire thing!
And that’s not even the best part!
When Owen returned for the stuffed animal, the airport gave him a little something extra! Thanks to a Walgreens coupon, Tony made a photobook with all the shots from Hobbes’ airport escapades for the young boy to keep!
They even caught the precious moment on camera! Ch-ch-check it out (below)!
His mom was absolutely thrilled that the employees had gone out of their way for her son:
“When Owen asked for Hobbes on the plane, my husband and I looked at each other and our hearts sunk. We knew he was left behind. Owen really loves him. He’s special, and we are so thankful for the airport and what they did.”
So sweet! Owen may have initially lost his toy, but he gained so much more!
