Although they appeared together in Star Trek, the drama between them is really a star war!

Former co-stars George Takei and William Shatner have had a tumultuous relationship ever since they starred in the ’60s sci-fi classic.

Recently, the drama between the two came to a head in 2004 when the Priceline spokesman claimed he was not invited to the gay activist’s wedding!

On Tuesday, the Japanese-American thespian gave an interview to New York Times Magazine where he said the feud is truly all on Shatner!

He exclaimed:

“It’s not tension, it’s all coming from Bill. Whenever he needs a little publicity for a project, he pumps up the so-called controversy between us.”

In fact, the 78-year-old believes publicity was the impetus for him starting the whole wedding controversy!

“Two months after my wedding, he went on YouTube and ranted and raved about our not sending him an invitation. We had. If he had an issue, he could have easily just phoned us before the wedding, simple as that. But he didn’t. And the reason he raised that fuss two months later is because he was premiering his new talk show, “Raw Nerve.”‘

When the interviewer brought up the conflict that happened on their classic TV show, the popular social media figure explained:

“It’s difficult working with someone who is not a team player. The rest of the cast all understand what makes a scene work ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ it’s everybody contributing to it. But Bill is a wonderful actor, and he knows it, and he likes to have the camera on him all the time.”

However, believe it or not, Takei has no ill will toward William, who is more than welcomed to see his new play!

“I don’t need to forgive him. I’ve already invited him to the opening night of Allegiance.”

All is not well on the final frontier!
