That’s great! Actual physical contact!
Director Paul Feig just teased us with a bit more news about his upcoming all-female Ghostbusters reboot which stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and recently announced Chris Hemsworth!
Yesterday, the popular director took to Twitter to send out a picture showing an integral prop in the Ghostbusters universe — the slime!
In the caption to the picture he also announced when he’s going to actually start shooting the film, and it’s probably a bit sooner than you might have guessed!
Ch-ch-check out the pic to see for yourself!
That’s AH-MAZING! That means they start TODAY!!
Feig seems pretty happy with the slime in the picture too! He’s also excited to have his normal special effects crew working on the reboot as well since he told EW in an interview:
“My whole crew from all my other movies have come aboard, and some really great special effects people have come aboard.I have never really done this level of effects before ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and I’m excited!”
As for other exciting news, we can always hope and wish for a couple special cameos from the original guys. Dan Akroyd talked with Spinoff about showing up in Feig’s reboot and said:
“If asked, I will show up and be of service. If not, it’s totally fine with me. I leave powerful talent like that alone to do their thing.”
He also goes on to mention that the reboot will reference the originals in some capacity stating:
“It refers to the first two in a really neat, classy way, but this is all going to introduce them to a whole new generation of girls that are going to want to be Ghostbusters. We always needed them.”
With all this news and excitement, we only have one question left to ask, “How is Elvis, and have you seen him lately?”
