We couldn’t agree more!

Now that Rachel Dolezal — you know, the white chapter head of the NAACP who was pretending to be black — has stepped down as the president of her chapter, it’s about time she resigned from the police oversight commission as well — and the Spokane Mayor agrees!

The Spokane, Washington mayor, Mayor David Condon, said in a press conference Thursday that she’s been asked to resign from the oversight commission due to creating an “intimidating and harassing” workplace.

City Council President Ben Stuckart also spoke and told reporters:

“We have a responsibility for all 2,000 employees of the city of Spokane and to put them in a situation where a volunteer board is creating an intimidating and harassing workplace is horrific. I also think of the last finding of the last page ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ that Commissioner Dolezal breached information that was confidential. This is the police ombudsman commission and complaints need to be kept confidential. To break confidentiality is flat out wrong.”

There were also two other members of the commission who were asked to resign. Stuckart said he had contacted all three members on Monday when he asked them to resign.

Two of the people asked for more time to defend themselves and the third, well that was Rachel of course, who he said “has refused to get back to him” and instead “boarded a plane to New York.” This is of course referring to Rachel heading out to do the interview with NBC.

As is the case with Rachel, we honestly don’t know what to expect, but hopefully she does the right thing and realizes she should resign.
