Some hoped that this would cause the Apprentice star to apologize for his comments and find a way to mend the relationship between him and the network — and with Latinos!
But The Donald kind of went the opposite route instead.
The billionaire reportedly plans to sue Univision for “hundreds of millions of dollars” for breaching an alleged five-year deal to air the Miss USA pageant!
Trump — who is part owner of the Miss Universe Organization — claims that Univision backed out of the iron-clad contract illegally, based on his comments that many Mexicans who come here are drug dealers and rapists!
The 69-year-old also alleged that Univision was immediately apologetic after they dropped the pageant, and that they pleaded with him to soften his views on Mexico!
The Donald said:
“I love the Mexican people, but I’m running for President and our country comes first.”
While it’s great for people to think of our country first, this candidate might not be making the best case for how he would go about handling foreign policy in the future.
