It looks like Rose McGowan isn’t the only actress who’s willing to call out sexism in Hollywood!
Last week, the Charmed star made headlines after she shared an objectifying casting note for an upcoming audition that encouraged her to wear clothes that “showed off cleavage.”
The insight into the sexist casting environment sparked a lot of progressive conversation — but unfortunately resulted in the actress getting fired from her agent!
Now, more women are rallying behind the 41-year-old in hopes of changing the underlying misogyny in the industry — including Jessica Chastain!
On Thursday, Women and Hollywood editor Melissa Silverstein took to Twitter to stand behind McGowan in the wake of her comments, writing:
The Interstellar actress responded in agreement, applauding McGowan for speaking up about the issues! She wrote:
As do I. Her treatment confirms the misogyny underpinning the industry. She should be celebrated for speaking out.👏 https://t.co/yUyO0LXkFd

We couldn’t agree more!
Hopefully, this sparks a movement for change in the casting environment of Hollywood!
