Poor Joni Mitchell.
In a recent interview, the singer David Crosby, who once dated Joni, gave new information about the brain aneurysm the legend endured a few months ago.
“She took a terrible hit. She had an aneurysm, and nobody found her for a while. And she’s going to have to struggle back from it the way you struggle back from a traumatic brain injury.”
So sad. It’s unfortunate no one found the singer sooner.
As for where JM’s condition stands today, David didn’t offer up much positive news. He explained:
“To my knowledge, she is not speaking yet. How much she’s going to come back and when, I don’t know and I’m not going to guess. I love her. She was my old lady at one point. She’s probably the best of us — probably the greatest living singer-songwriter. We’re all holding our breath and thinking a good thought, hoping that it’s going to turn out okay.”
Wow. We hope the 71-year-old recovers from this set back. We can’t imagine how the loss of speech must affect a person, let alone a singer.
Get better, Joni.
