Oh no!

Yesterday, it was revealed that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are calling it quits after 10 years of marriage.

While it’s been rumored that the Hollywood couple has had problems for a while now — even going to couples therapy for the last two years — a few sources who are close with the Daredevil costars, gave some insight as to what may have caused the split!

One source connected with Garner claims that Ben’s drinking and gambling has become a problem with his wife and she hit a breaking point. Apparently, both the drinking and gambling had increased over the last few years and Jennifer “couldn’t take it anymore.” Though we’re not sure if this is true, we do know that Ben loves to gamble.

A source close to Ben also somewhat supports this in a less straightforward way by saying that it’s really just about two people who want to live their lives in different ways. This idea could support that they just don’t see eye to eye on things like Ben’s drinking and gambling. They also say though that it wasn’t about Ben partying or womanizing, and neither of those have to do with why the couple is splitting.

Hmm, very inneresting.

Though they are calling it quits, another source believes it will be a clean break and says:

“They don’t want this to be War of the Roses. They want it to be simple and this takes the drama out of it. It is important for them to keep this nice and efficient for the sake of their family.”

They seem to both be really concerned about their kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, as for the time being, the former Hollywood power couple will both remain living at their Brentwood home according to the source. Whoa!

Though Ben has apparently been living out of hotels for 10 months, he will now reportedly be living in a separate house on the property, so that they can both still co-parent and be active in their children’s lives.

Regardless of the reasons behind the divorce, it’s nice to know that it won’t be messy. Breakups can always be harder with kids involved and it seems like both of them are very aware of wanting to do what’s best for their children as well!
