Caitlyn Jenner will receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year’s ESPYS later this month. And when she walks out onto the stage to accept the honor, her son Brody Jenner is really hoping to be there for her time to shine.
He revealed at the SpyChatter event last night at The Argyle Hollywood:
“I would love to be there to support my father. It’d be a great thing. I’ll be there to support Caitlyn 100 percent. It’s a huge deal.”
The 31-year-old explained that his support extends far beyond this sports-centric award show. He discussed how he feels about Caitlyn’s transition, and how it’s made his family better:
“It’s been incredible. I’m not going to sit here and say it’s been the easiest thing in the world, but it helped me in a lot of ways. It helped the family in a lot of ways just to be incredibly open.”
He also expressed how thrilled he is that the former Olympian can finally be comfortable with herself, and how everyone should feel the same:
“I think everybody should go through life ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ because it is very short ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ being the person that they truly are and who they want to be.”
We’re so happy to see Brody being so supportive of Caitlyn, especially since the two haven’t had the best relationship in the past!
