Swoon! Ryan Reynolds Is Pretty Much The Cutest Dad Ever With These Sweet Words For Daughter James!

This. Is. Adorable!!!

Ryan Reynolds has got this whole dad thing down pat — whether it comes to (not) promoting his six-month-old daughter James‘ artwork, or avoiding Twitter just to spend more time with the little tyke, Reynolds is doin’ the damn thing when it comes to being a parent!

He recently spoke to AOL Build about his philosophy on children and social media, telling reporters:

“Everybody thinks their son or daughter is God’s gift to air. And in their home, they are. When I’m in my private moments, I look at my daughter and go, ‘You are the most amazing creature I’ve ever seen in my life.'”

Reynolds knows the difference between private praise, and making the daddy talk all too public, though, talking about the need to tweet less because, well, it’s all about spending quality time with the kid:

“It’s easy [to tweet] when you’re shooting, because it’s the old hurry up and wait philosophy. It’s a little dangerous, because you used to sit back and read a book [in between takes], and now you’ve got this thing in your face. I’m as guilty of it as anyone else. I have a little daughter now, and I’m trying to not have [my phone] around.

“It’s sort of annoying to [tweet about your child] publicly, so I usually go the other way, and write silly jokes about how my daughter’s terrible with her art. I had a friend who said ‘my kid is 2, and already quoting Chekov,’ and I was like ‘your kid’s a genius, and probably an a–hole.'”

There is one thing he is concerned about, though — the passage of time. Talking about how fast his daughter’s growing up, Reynolds says:

“Yeah, you suddenly feel the inexorable amount of time go by. There’s nothing that ages you faster than having a kid, and that’s not because you wake up in the middle of the night every five seconds because someone’s got to shit themselves├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥it’s really because you’re looking at this person and time is just flying by, like how is it possible that you’re already half a year old? And when most people are given at best 90 of these years on this planet, you start to look at it like that, it freaks you out a little bit.”

Passing of time or not, at least is sounds like the funny actor has this whole dad thing down pat — he’s definitely a DILF, too, so there’s that!
