Kylie Jenner’s New Cornrows Have This Hunger Games Star Questioning If Its Cultural Appropriation

Kylie Jenner is no stranger to getting into trouble for her potentially racist Instagram photos, but her latest snap has her involved in yet another controversy.

That’s because the 17-year-old posted a selfie of her toned abs to her 28.8 million followers on Saturday… but her cornrows had many people questioning whether or not her hairstyle was an example of cultural appropriation.

Well, fellow Young Hollywood star Amandla Stenberg was one of the voices calling Kylie out for her “I woke up like disss” post.

The Hunger Games actress apparently posted a critical response of Ky Ky, saying:

“when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter”

That clearly didn’t sit well with the youngest KUTWK main cast member, because she also spoke her mind on the issue, saying:

“Mad if I don’t, Mad if I do├óΓé¼┬ª. Go hang w Jaden or something.”

Clearly Kylie is referencing Amandla’s trip to prom with Jaden Smith, and the back and forth has since been deleted, but we do wish K addressed the issue head on.

It’s impossible for us to truly know Kylie’s intentions, but by denouncing Amandla ad hominem, she’s not really adding to the conversation.

What do U think about this brewing feud??
