More like Wizard of Odd.
Judy Garland‘s ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz are arguably the most iconic piece of costuming in all of Hollywood history.
There’s just one problem…
One pair of the famous footwear were on display at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids over a decade ago when someone broke into the building, and stole them!
Now, 10 years later, an anonymous do-gooder has offered a $1 million reward for the location of both the slippers as well as the culprit.
Luckily, the pair of heels are only one of four sets in existence — so people can still get their Dorothy kicks at three other venues. But we can’t imagine how mad the man who lent the museum the props before they were stolen, Michael Shaw, feels about the crime.
We do have one hunch about solving the mystery:
They’re probably not in Kansas anymore.
