Donald Trump hasn’t had the smoothest start to his presidential campaign.
On Tuesday, the billionaire shared a promotional photo on his Twitter featuring what was apparently Nazi German soldiers that was superimposed on the U.S. flag!
The photo also showed the White House, $100 bills and The Donald’s big ├óΓé¼╦£ol head, along with the slogan, “We need real leadership. We need results. Let’s put the U.S. back into business!”
It wasn’t long before Twitter users noticed the soldiers on the picture actually appeared to be wearing SS force uniforms:
The candidate’s campaign team quickly deleted the controversial image, and said an intern was to blame. Trump’s camp issued the following statement:
“A young intern created and posted the image and did not see the very faded figures within the flag of the stock photo. The intern apologized and immediately deleted the tweet.”
