Supergirl Gets Another Super Trailer — But Why Isn’t Her Name SuperWOMAN? Find Out The Showrunners’ Response To The Super Controversy HERE!

We’ve already got our first look at Supergirl, but now there’s yet another trailer to get you excited for the latest superhero TV show.

CBS released the second trailer for the DC Comics series starring Melissa Benoist as a twenty-something cousin to Superman on Monday…

But with great sneak peeks come great controversies.

That’s because some fans of comic book equality are questioning why Supergirl isn’t referred to as Superwoman.

When asked, the showrunners gave a pretty safe answer saying only:

“She’s Supergirl because she’s Supergirl.”

There is already a character named Superwoman, who just so happens to be evil. She could even appear on the show!

But what do U think?? Supergirl? Not yet a woman?
