This is such a scary situation!

On Tuesday, Rosie O’Donnell‘s daughter Chelsea — who suffers from mental illness and was off her medication — was announced as missing via the former host of The View‘s Twitter account.

Later that day, after the story went public, the police were able to track Chelsea down through her cell phone to a house in New Jersey.

When she was finally found though, it was in the attic of a house owned by a man she had met online, Steven Sheerer, who happened to be an alleged heroin addict.

When originally confronted by the police, Sheerer claimed that Chelsea was not there. With police insisting, they eventually discovered Rosie’s daughter who was hiding.

A source close to the situation revealed the 53-year-old mom’s feelings about the situation saying:

“Rosie is very concerned about the guy she was found with. Rosie is extremely concerned about everything and is trying to figure out what to do next.”

Rosie even took to Twitter Wednesday night to address a fan’s tweet by admitting:

She later posted:

We can’t imagine what Rosie and her family are going through at this time but we wish them the best of luck and hope they’ll able to find some sort of peace.
