A shooting in Moneta, Virginia on Wednesday morning has claimed at least two lives — even more chilling, the incident was captured during a live news broadcast.
Alison Parker, a correspondent for CBS affiliate WDBJ7, was conducting an interview at the Bridgewater Plaza when suddenly shots rang out.
The camera dropped to the floor, and screams continued to air on live TV until producers cut back to a very concerned anchor back in the station.
The station has confirmed that both Alison and cameraman Adam Ward were killed.
A total of three people were shot in the incident and there’s an ongoing search for the gunman.
