This First Look At Michael Fassbender In His Assassins Creed Costume Doesn’t Give Us Any More Confidence In The Video Game Movie!

We’re not sure what to think about this new pic!

The very first image of Michael Fassbender from the upcoming flick based on the UBER popular video game franchise Assassins Creed has been released and while we fancy the Fassy… we don’t love this film’s chances of success.

After all VERY few video games have translated into movies worth watching, let alone hits — we’re looking at you Agent 47.

If you still think this flick will work, maybe you should check out this plot…

Fassbender will play main character Callum Lynch — a character created specifically for the film — who finds out that he’s a descendant of a secret Assassins society. Through a machine he gains the knowledge and skills of his Assassin ancestor Aguilar in 15th Century Spain, then looks to take on the evil Knights Templar in present day.

It’s just another one of those storylines that sounds better as a video game.

That’s a problem even shirtless Jake Gyllenhaal can’t fix!

The only great thing about the film is the cast. Fassbender — who we’re sure will turn in another AH-Mazing performance no matter what — will be joined by Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Ariane Labed.

The film is also set to start shooting on Monday and will be released in theaters December 21, 2016. But you can check out he full first image of Fassbender in costume (below):
