If you asked millennials which shows they wanted to see on TV again, most would say classic cartoons from their childhood!
If you’re one of those ’90s nostalgia fanatics, brace yourselves — Nickelodeon revealed it was considering ways to reboot some of its old programs back on air!
That’s right! The children’s network is looking to dust off their old library to see which classics would be best to bring back with a modernized twist!
Russell Hicks, president of content and development at Nick, said:
“We are looking at our library to bring back ideas, shows that were loved, in a fresh new way.”
Seems like Nickelodeon is finally catching on to the success of revivals like Girl Meets World and the highly anticipated Fuller House!
Hicks didn’t say what specific programs Nick is leaning towards, but hinted that the generation of viewers who now has kids of their would be the primary target audience! He said:
“We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they’ve told us multiple times they want to have brought back.”
We have a feeling that early ’90s cartoons like Doug and Rugrats are among the top contenders to get rebooted! Which Nick shows would YOU like to see back on the air?
