We’re seriously surprised this hasn’t happened sooner, and we’re even more shocked to learn that he’s only had three solo singles EVER break the Top 10 across the pond.
But our confusion aside, congratulations are in order for Justin Bieber!
The musical heartthrob’s latest song, What Do You Mean, FINALLY scored him his first number one single in the UK charts!
The closest he’s ever come to this top spot in the past was in 2012, when Boyfriend came in a close second — literally — peaking at number two.
But, that’s only the beginning of Bieber’s overseas success!
The pop star’s latest hit also broke Spotify‘s streaming record! It has 21 million plays worldwide! And in the UK, it’s already been streamed 3.2 million times, more than any other single has in its first week in that territory!
The Biebs even dethroned British boy band One Direction, whose latest smash, Drag Me Down, was played in the UK just over 2 million times during the first week of its release!
Bieber is back, everyone!
