So you know how He-who-shall-not-be-named is, like, one of the most iconic villains of all time?

Yeah… well, as it turn out, we’ve been saying one of Harry Potter‘s main character’s names wrong this whole time.

When one fan tried to pass off the controversial info as a piece of Hogwarts trivia, J.K. Rowling herself confirmed the worldwide mistake, saying:

We don’t know what’s real anymore…

While it makes sense that Voldemort would have a silent “t”, we don’t know if we’ll be able to change 18 years of saying it incorrectly.

Just go ahead and use Avada Kedavra on us now and put us out of our misery.
