Helen Mirren Opposes Men Putting Their Arms Around Their Girlfriends Because It Shows ‘Ownership’ — Do You Agree?

Helen Mirren is a feminist queen these days!

Following up on previous comments about sexism in the film industry by Emma Thompson, Helen made a controversial remark that it’s sexist for men to put their arms around their girlfriends as it suggests ownership over the female. Very interesting!

The accomplished actress embellished on this feminist idea, saying:

“It annoys me when I see men with an arm slung around their girlfriend’s shoulders. It’s like ownership. Of course, when you’re young, you want the guy to take your hand and look after you.”

Hmm. While many would agree with this statement, we’re sure there’s plenty of people who don’t!

The fiery 70-year-old added:

“When I see girls being leaned on, I want to say, ‘Tell him to get his damned arm off your shoulder’.”

Tell em’, Helen! Even if you don’t agree with the legend, you have to admire her passion!

So do you agree with H.M.?! Vote (below)!
