President Obama Thinks Political Correctness Has Made College Campuses Too ‘Coddled’ — Do You Agree??

This is a little unexpected!

President Barack Obama was speaking at a town hall even in Iowa on Monday when he was asked about politics on college campuses.

The President got surprisingly candid on the topic of political correctness at colleges!

He acknowledged that even though many liberal college environments tended to agree with him on many issues, there is a problem of mental stagnation when students “aren’t listening to the other side.”

He said:

“I’ve heard some college campuses where they don’t want to have a guest speaker who is too conservative or they don’t want to read a book if it has language that is offensive to African-Americans or somehow sends a demeaning signal towards women. I gotta tell you, I don’t agree with that either.

I don’t agree that you, when you become students at colleges, have to be coddled and protected from different points of view. I think you should be able to ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ anybody who comes to speak to you and you disagree with, you should have an argument with ’em.

But you shouldn’t silence them by saying, ‘You can’t come because I’m too sensitive to hear what you have to say.’ That’s not the way we learn either.”

Right about now, Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock — two comedians who have recently come out and said they don’t do shows on college campuses any more because of the overly politically correct atmosphere — must be nodding their heads in agreement!

What about U??
