In a clip from Tyra Banks‘ new talk show FABLife, the very emotional former supermodel talks about her ongoing struggle with infertility. The 41-year-old entrepreneur, along with co-host Chrissy Teigen, opened up about feeling judged for not already having kids.
Women are constantly faced with balancing career and family. When you have a schedule like Tyra’s, we can imagine it being tough to find time to put life on pause! Of her personal desire to start a family, she shared:
“Since I was 24, I used to say every year, ‘I will have kids in three years.’ I kept saying it over and over again. Because my business is very entrepreneurial. I’m not for hire, so I have to do everything. I kept trying to find that time for that to happen.”
When you’re building an empire, that’s understandable!
Tyra has been dating photographer Erik Asla for two years and admits to undergoing IVF treatments in hopes of becoming a mom — without much luck.
“I’ve had some not happy moments with that, very traumatic moments. It’s difficult as you get older. It’s not something that can just happen.”
The America’s Next Top Model host might be facing hard times right now, but she’s staying positive:
“I don’t just want one child. I want a litter! And I want to be the kind of mom where my child can come to me for anything.”
We think she’s going to be a FAB mom! Hang in there, Ty!
