This is crazy!!
Two high school football players in San Antonio, Texas — Michael Moreno and Victor Rojas — were part of the worst kind of viral video earlier this month when they blindsided a referee during a football game, tackling him to the ground and spearing him with their helmets.
Now, after being suspended from their football team and from school — with the possibility of expulsion in their future — the two are speaking out to Good Morning America.
Moreno and Rojas allege that they were ordered by their coach, Mack Breed, to hit the referee during the game after the ref allegedly missed calls for their team.
The two also now are coming out to say that the ref used racial slurs against them during the game — an accusation the referee’s lawyer says is 100% false, and that the boys are lying.
Check out the clip of the two players describing the incident on GMA (below):
Hmmm… what do we have here — a rogue and possibly racist referee who was on the receiving end of violent retribution over on-field bigotry?!
Or is this a case of a couple of boys (and their coach) who made a terrible decision on the field that day, trying to avoid paying the price in court or at school??
