Rob Thomas Is ‘Hoping For The Best’ While His Wife Recovers From Brain Surgery

He says she's 'good!'

That’s some scary stuff!

Rob Thomas‘ wife Marisol Maldonado recently underwent brain surgery, but the Matchbox Twenty frontman says she’s doing well after the procedure:

“She’s good. She’s at home recovering, so we’re hoping for the best.”

Last Friday, the singer’s spouse had an operation to remove a lesion from the base of her brain. Yikes!

We’re so relieved that everything seemed to go off without a hitch, and Rob remains cautiously optimistic about his wife’s condition, explaining:

“We don’t know what’s gonna happen. We’re just glad the surgery went well. She has great doctors; she has a bunch of people supporting her.”

Back in July, the musician took to Facebook to share the troubling news about the wound in Marisol’s crucial organ, and also announced that he was going to cancel some tour dates so he could stay by her side. He wrote:

Rob reveals that since his main squeeze seems to be healing up nicely, he’ll be getting back to the grind:

“I’m just on the road. I’m literally just gonna be on the road from now. I have my whole life planned out from now to the middle of next February. So we’ll see how that goes.”

We’re really glad that Marisol is doing well and we wish her a speedy recovery!
