Viola Davis winning Best Lead Actress wasn’t the only historical Emmys win on Sunday!

After taking home the award for Outstanding Drama Series, Game Of Thrones officially won the most Emmys any show has won in a single year!

Along with Best Drama Series, the HBO fantasy show won for Best Writing (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss), Best Directing (David Nutter), and Best Supporting Actor (Peter Dinklage)!

Those statuettes were won following the show’s eight wins at the Creative Arts Emmys on September 12 — earning the show a total of 12 awards!

Game of Thrones beat out previous record holder The West Wing, which took home nine awards back in 2000!

HBO also dominated in the comedy category, with political satire Veep scoring four wins!

It turned out to be a great night for the premium cable network — except for when host Andy Samberg gave away everyone free HBO subscriptions! LOLz!
