This is AH-Mazing!
Last night the sun, the Earth, and the moon all lined up in a row to give us one heck of a beautiful sight!
What was so special about this was it was not only a “supermoon” — when the moon’s orbit brings it closest to the Earth to make it appear larger — but it was a lunar eclipse which caused the moon to turn orange, or become a “bloodmoon.”
People all around the world were staring at the sky last night as this incredibly rare phenomenon occurred and took to Twitter to share some of the best and most beautiful pics!
Seeing as how the next supermoon eclipse won’t happen until 2033, check out some of the best snaps (below) from both professionals and amateurs from all over!
What do you think? Was it worth all the hype or could you care less?
