Just on the eve of October, here’s something straight out of a nightmare!

Jonathon Hogg almost lost his leg after being bitten by a spider during an international flight in June!

The barrister’s leg “burst open” after he was believed to be bitten by a poisonous brown recluse spider on a flight from Doha, Qatar to Cape Town, South Africa!

Six hours into his flight, the 40-year-old felt a pain in his leg before spotting a spider running across the floor. He said:

“I turned on the light and clearly saw a spider running across the floor before hearing two stewardesses screaming ├óΓé¼╦£Spider’, but I wasn’t sure if I had been bitten as it really wasn’t very painful.”

Within hours, the London native’s leg had turned black and swelled up! By the time he got to the hospital, his leg was “bursting open”! He continued:

“The pain was like nothing I’ve been through in my life. By the time I got to hospital my leg was bursting open, there was pus, it was black. It was a right mess. They told me if I had been any later I would have lost my leg or even died. It was terrifying.”

Doctors rushed Hogg into surgery and cut away a large chunk of his leg. He then spent a month in a South African hospital undergoing a skin graft — and he’s still receiving medical treatment!

Now terrified of flying, Hogg plans on suing Qatar Airways because he claims it has yet to assume responsibility. He said:

“They have made no attempt to resolve the issue and have basically said it was nothing to do with them.”

Wow, this is truly terrifying! We hope the traveler fully recovers from this traumatic event!
