As we reported, the Girls Next Door star Bridget Marquardt announced her engagement to her boyfriend of seven years, Nick Carpenter, with a snap of her very unique, spider-shaped ring on October 1.

Well, the duo attended the 7th Annual L.A. Haunted Hayride at Griffith Park Zoo over the weekend, where Hugh Hefner‘s ex revealed the adorable details about how her fianc├â┬⌐ popped the big question. She shared:

“He took me hiking up to our favorite spot. Long story short, he faked me out! There was a fake spider ring in the dirt and I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£That’s so weird. How weird!’ Because we talked about this spider ring I really liked and now there’s this fake one here. Anyway, I was putting it back in the dirt because it wasn’t mine├óΓé¼┬ªand I turned around and he was on one knee pulling out the real ring.”

Aw! Sounds like Nick put a lot of thought into making the proposal special for the former reality TV star!

She continued:

“I was surprised by the actual proposal. I just wanted something different, something unique, something that reflected more of my personality, so [the ring] was perfect. I don’t have a love for spiders. There’s all these weird stories like, she has a love for spiders, it’s a black widow. It’s none of that, it’s just something different, something that reflected my personality.”

So when’s the big day? Not so fast — the lovebirds are enjoying the excitement of being engaged for now:

“I’ve thought about [some] stuff, but nothing serious yet, just like, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, it would be fun if we did a destination, it would be fun if we did Halloween theme,’├óΓé¼┬ªI’ll probably start doing little things soon, like getting together a guest list. There’s a new excitement. We’ve been together [for awhile], not that things are boring or anything like that, but now it just feels extra exciting. We have this great thing to plan together with our family and friends, and we can be creative and fun and have everyone together. I love that.”

We’re so happy for the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. — and we would definitely love to see a Halloween-themed wedding in 2016?? Just saying!
