The Kardashian/Jenner Family Covers Cosmopolitan‘s 50th Birthday Issue & The Internet Is PISSED!

'Cosmo' compared them to the Obamas an no one is happy about it.

On Sunday night, Cosmopolitan revealed the cover star(s) of their 50th birthday issue, and it has made a LOT of people upset!

The publication actually unveiled the front page for the upcoming edition — set to hit newsstands October 13 — and it features Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney and Khlo├â┬⌐ Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Yup, gang’s all here! And in matching white outfits, no less!

That in itself is usually enough to get the general public’s blood boiling, seeing as this glamorous group is one that people just love to hate.

But this time, there’s a lot more to this than just the photo.

In the text describing the issue — which marks the first time since 2011 that all six of these ladies have been snapped together for a magazine cover — the writers refer to the brood as “America’s First Family.”

Using that language to describe the 16-page spread for a bunch of reality TV stars is giving plenty of readers, or should we say, now-former readers, the impression that the mag is undermining the actual First Family, the Obamas.

After all, the unofficial title for President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle, and their daughters Sasha and Malia is the First Family of the United States.

So, after this picture was posted, Twitter users became enraged.

However, we’re wondering if sparking controversy was part of the publicity for the issue, because Cosmo‘s Editor-In-Chief, Joanna Coles, seems to be pretty open to all sorts of cover comments, tweeting:

Well, she got what she wanted because the conversation certainly has begun! Take a look at all these people who are thoroughly pissed off:

As for the famous family? They don’t really seem to care that they’re being called out all over the internet, since their own accounts don’t even address the kover kontroversy at all.

Besides, we’re sure they’re more than used to it by now.

But what do U think of this whole thing, Perezcious readers?
