On Friday, it was reported that a person was fatally shot at Northern Arizona University‘s Flagstaff campus with three others wounded from the incident. Tragic.
However, a spokesperson for the school’s since confirmed that a suspect has been taken into custody and that the three victims are currently being treated at Flagstaff Medical Center. Well that’s good to hear at least.
Though the specifics of the shooting still remain unclear, it’s said that the violent outburst took place near one of NAU’s dormitories called, Mountain View Hall. In fact, MVH is the residence hall that houses most of the students who are involved in Greek life.
The university utilized Twitter as an emergency alert to warn their students about the shooting. They posted:
Reported shooting at NAU Flagstaff campus. Shooter in custody. Mtn View Hall residents stay indoors. More details to follow.

We’re not shocked the college utilized the social media site since the school’s campus has 20,000 students enrolled.
This unfortunate fatality comes a mere week after the horrifying shooting at Umpqua Community College. How sad.
Our thoughts are with the victims’ loved ones during this trying time.
We’ll be keeping our eye on this breaking story as it develops. Stay tuned.
