Taylor Swift Says Her Blank Space Character Was A Parody Of How She’s Portrayed In The Media — And NOT Like Her At All!

Taylor Swift has had no shortage of hits on her 1989 album!

But one that sticks out is Blank Space — which paints the songstress as a boy-crazed insane person! (Don’t believe us, just ask her long list of ex-lovers!)

Many thought the chart-topping single was the 25-year-old’s admission that she was a serial dater. But Tay revealed that her character in the song was not making fun of herself, but how she’s portrayed in the public eye!

In a new interview, the pop star dished about coming up with the lyrics to the hit track, saying that she wrote some of the iconic words years before she constructed the song! She confessed:

“I’ll be going about my daily life and thinking, ├óΓé¼╦£wow, so you really only have two options in relationships, like, it’s gonna be forever or it’s gonna go down in flames,’ and I’ll jot that down in my notes.”

Wow, who knew crafting a Billboard No. 1 single was so time consuming?! LOLz!

As for the crazy character she played in the music video, Swift says she was playing up to the clingy, obsessive serial dater the media painted her as in the last few years — and it was a total blast!
