This is a little too scary — and we can imagine after 2010’s Buried that Ryan Reynolds probably won’t be tuning in — but hey, whatever floats your boat!
Three people are apparently going to go through with being buried alive on the appropriately-named TV special Fear: Buried Alive that will air on Sunday, October 26 in advance of Halloween!
A&E — which will air the two-hour event LIVE (!) — released a statement warning of “escalating horrors” for the three participants that will “test the strength of their psyches” after the trio lies down in their coffins and gets placed six feet under.
In fact, it’s so serious, the network is bringing on a trained sociologist — Margee Kerr — as well as horror film director Eli Roth to talk the trio through their ordeal. Kerr sounded pretty, um, excited for this spooky situation:
“We’ve got endorphins, dopamine and adrenaline all coursing through our body and it’s making us feel euphoric, powerful, primal, strong, really awesome.”
Kerr’s excitement aside, for most of us this is probably going to be a pretty cringe-inducing two hour event… but that doesn’t mean we aren’t going to tune in!!!
What do U think about the prospect of being buried alive on national TV?? Anything for fame, or too far beyond innocent fun?!
Fear: Buried Alive will air at 8pm ET on A&E on October 26.
