Here we go again.
In Michelle Duggar’s latest blog post, she’s once again dishing out some controversial advice — this time it’s for newlyweds regarding S-E-X!
Apparently, the 19 Kids and Counting matriarch received a piece of advice back in the day and it seems to have stuck with her through her marriage to Jim Bob.
“She told me: ‘Michelle, I know you’re so excited. You’re a bride-to-be, but some day you’ll be at this point. ├óΓé¼┬ª You’ve got to remember this. Anyone can iron Jim Bob’s shirt, anybody can make lunch for him. He can get his lunch somewhere else. But you are the only one who can meet that special need that he has in his life for intimacy. You’re it. You’re the only one.
So don’t forget that, that he needs you. So when you are exhausted at the end of the day, maybe from dealing with little ones, and you fall into bed so exhausted at night, don’t forget about him because you and he are the only ones who can have that time together. No one else in the world can meet that need.'”
Simply, she’s claiming that all wives should be “available” at all times to their husbands. What??
“…be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, ‘Yes, sweetie I am here for you,’ no matter what, even though you may be exhausted and big pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. ‘I’m still here for you and I’m going to meet that need because I know it’s a need for you.'”
Oh no. Listen ladies, do what’s best for you!
She goes on to advise that young couples should only talk about disagreements in private, and to seek marriage advice if you need it. Well, this bit of guidance is pretty accurate. Communication is key in any healthy relationship.
Though, we have a feeling this post may be a little directed at a certain daughter-in-law whose husband’s recently had to go to rehab after being caught up in an Ashley Madison cheating scandal — **cough** Josh Duggar.
We really doubt that Anna‘s availability was the problem since Josh previously caused controversy when it was revealed that he molested five girls when he was a teenager.
We wonder how her daughters feel about their momma sharing this bit of advice to the world?! Nothing like a good ole fashioned sex talk from your mother to embarrass you. LOLz!
