Tracy Morgan‘s back to work!

On Monday night, the 30 Rock star made his triumphant return to stand up comedy for gigs at the Comedy Cellar and The Stand in New York — over a year after a tragic car accident that left him in a coma.

The Saturday Night Live alum took to Twitter to celebrate his career milestone with his many fans.

He posted:

Tissues, anyone?!

Apparently, the appearances were in preparation for his highly anticipated return to SNL this season. It’s said the funnyman absolutely slayed his two performances, though the crowds were very small. In fact, recording devices were NOT allowed inside of the gigs.

Bummer. What we wouldn’t do to see THAT HIGHlarious set!

Though, we’re not totally shocked that Tracy killed with these sets since his surprise appearance at the this year’s Emmys was everything and more!

We’re just happy to learn that the 46-year-old’s still got it after facing so much tragedy.

Be sure to ch-ch-check out Tracy’s new material this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. E.T./P.T. as he hosts the popular late night variety show!
